Steve attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and Graduated magnum cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting April 1974. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Utah and California as well as a member of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Professional experience:
Independent public accountant, consultant, December 1985 to present. Specialized in financial consultation with entrepreneurs and their closely held businesses with emphasis on tax planning, compliance and wealth management. Practice includes real estate development, retail and service companies, high-income professionals, entertainers, and professional athletes. |

Controller, Triad Properties, September 1984 to December 1985. Supervised accounting functions related to the development of over $200 million of commercial real estate projects. Developed cost control systems for the operation of over 2.5 million feet of office and retail properties.
Executive Vice President-Enterprises and Chief Financial Officer. Osmond Enterprises, August 1981 to August 1984. Assisted this multi-faceted company to restructure its business emphasis and organization subsequent to a spin-off transaction. Involved in administration of all financial functions, studio operations and operations of other media related companies. Responsible for evaluation and administration of special projects and co-productions.
Vice President Finance, Diamond West Energy Corporation, March 1980 to July 1981. Responsible for all financial functions including transition to a NASDAQ reporting company under SEC regulation.
Manager, Arthur Andersen & Company, May 1974 to March 1980. Progressed from entry level to audit manager in the Los Angeles office. Specialized in entertainment industry clients. Coordinated annual audits, financial statement projections and budgetary analysis and preparation of financial information for securities offerings.

Tyler Hortin offers nearly a decade of financial experience helping high growth companies achieve their financial objectives. As a member of one of Dallas Texas’ top Accounting firms Mr. Hortin advanced to become a Tax Senior. As a senior member of the management team of several companies throughout Utah and Texas, Mr. Hortin has been instrumental in designing financial processes and systems that assure corporate compliance with state and federal laws while minimizing tax liability. His tenure with these groups led to direct increases in profitability.
Throughout his corporate career, Mr. Hortin worked with such notable clients as NASA, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Ford, Carlson Companies, Pharmacia, Procter & Gamble, Nationwide, AT&T Wireless, ShopKo, Freddie Mac, Costco and many others. |

Mr. Hortin holds the professional designation of Certified Public Accountant. He holds a B.S. degree in Information Technology from Brigham Young University and has completed his Masters degree in Accounting from the University of Texas. Mr. Hortin also speaks Spanish fluently.
